Where Are You Going Wrong?

There is a common misconception that by simply being positive and affirming yourself, you can overcome feelings of inadequacy, and improve your mental health and self-worth. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. While it’s important to have a positive outlook on life, our self-worth needs much more than this. Instead, we must confront our darkness – that is, the darker parts of our personalities that we often try to ignore or hide from others. Or worse, completely deny their existence and project them onto others with a generous sprinkling of criticism, resentment, and hatred!

Everyone can be judgemental, blaming, contradictory, selfish, dishonest, hypocritical, insecure, ignorant, envious, naïve, mean-spirited, short-sighted, biased, wrong, fake, unfair, and intolerant. And, yes – that includes you! At the root of all these aspects of human nature is fear – fear of not being good enough, of rejection and loneliness, of being vulnerable and exposed, of not getting your needs met. And it is only by facing our darkness, by truly seeing ourselves with forgiveness and compassion, that we can truly begin to grow, heal, and become better as individuals, fix our broken societies, and rediscover our humanity.

The first step towards change is acknowledging terrible things for what they are: a natural part of the human experience. It’s not about being positive all the time – it’s about being real. And that starts with facing your darkness head-on. My Reality Courses guide you through the darkness and shine a light on a whole new way of thinking about yourself, your life, and everything that’s wrong with humanity – so you can learn how to be right with yourself and make a real difference in this world!
